iPhone App Fun - USA Today

USA Today - Tallent Communications

It may not be the best News App for the iPhone, since it doesn't feed news from all over into it, and it doesn't have multiple topic categories like the others.

But be that as it may, in being very basic, and setup into news sections exactly like its newspaper counterpart, it is still a great app worth having.

Additionally for me, since USA Today is my favorite newspaper, due to it actually having news worth reading in it...

iPhone App Fun - Newton's Cradle

Newton's Cradle - enabled

I came across Newton's Cradle in the Appstore the other day, and at the sight of seeing it, it brought back memories, so I downloaded it immediately.

I use to have one long ago, and for some reason, I fell in love with watching it, and seeing the different patterns I could get the swinging balls to bounce against each other.

Now modernize in form of an iPhone app, this popular executive desk toy is loads of fun.

iPhone App Fun - iBonsai

iBonsai - Brainpower Labs

iBonsai is a unique digital abstraction of the bonsai experience.

I've had way to much fun with this app. Lately, when looking to release some stress, I sit and grow little iBonsai trees and listen to the ambient music.

Every tree grown is different, and in changing the settings you can grow some amazing to crazy looking trees. Another neat feature is that you can use your finger to turn and spin your tree to get a 3D view of it.

Smoke Sober

I did it!!! I quit smoking!!! As the Ball dropped on New Year's Eve, my last cigarette was flicked from my fingers.

As I started to put my New Year's Resolution plan to Quit Smoking together about two weeks ago, I did a lot of research on quitting. From reading people's blogs on how they quit, to seeing every garbage company out there trying to make money off of me by selling me the worst lines/products of crap I have ever seen.

After all that reading and research, I really wanted to find the best way to quit and pass it on to you.

My 2009 New Year's Resolution

This will be the year!!! The year I quit smoking. This is my number one New Year's Resolution.

If you read my earlier blog post on change <Change? Yes I Can>, I made mention of quitting smoking as being a possible little change goal. Since writing that post and doing a lot of thinking on changes to be made, the goal of "quit smoking" kept popping up.

So let it be written, that as of January 1st, 2009, I will be smoke free.

I know I have tried to quit in the past, but in following through with my "Goals of Change" for 2009... Where I have failed in the past, I will succeed in the future.

Do you have a New Year's Resolution?

The Gummy Bear Project

A friend of mine found and posted this story on Facebook about a giant gummy bear on a stick. I was laughing so hard while reading it and watching the video, that my 7 year old daughter popped her head over my shoulder to see what all the commotion was. Together we must have watched and laughed at the video a couple more times.

I just had to pass it along...
